FCC is making all feeds for broadcasting to be sent in HD. So lots of channels are already broadcasting in MPEG-4. Does anybody have FTA receiver PVR that is able to view the HD Channels? or record from those channels?
I understand that but the Channels that are going to be broadcasted in 2009 are going to be in HD and I’m asking if the current FTA receivers that are PVR for only MPEG-2 will still be able to work on those HD Channels.

Resolved Question: fta reciever and dish for 46″ sharp aqous?
December 26th, 2007 · No Comments
i have a 46″ sharp aquos tv and i want to look into getting a decently nice FTA reciever “HD prefer”. what is a good one to get and how is the HD coming along with it? i will also need a dish and LNB so if anyone can point me in the right direction for a decent one but i prefer not to pay a whole bunch. if the HD part isnt ready yet i wouldnt mind just getting a regular receiver, just wondering what is good, i have done a little searching and seen that there is alot of different ones out there. also i have seen for FTA support most places want a monthly fee. are there any free sites out there?
