I have a viewsat platinum and i downloaded the latest bin but all it shows is No video or audio please help?Could it be the antenna outside lost view of satellite or something?

I'm going to buy a Satellite TV or FTA so what do I need to in order to buy good brands?

Need to know what will happen to free to air satellites in Feb. 2009. (not the antennas or rabbit ears, the satellite boxes). I know that TVs will need the converter box to use the antenna, but what about fta satellite boxes?? Thanks for any help!

I have a sonicview4000 right now on a old crt tv. I'm planning on buying a 720p LCD around 42 inches. So, i'm thinking of upgrading the receiver. Are there any suggestions? Any sites I can look at reviews? What are the price ranges? What can I do with my old receiver. Would I have to adjust anything with the dish or lnbs?

on my fta receiver when i do the scan the signal is pretty strong on both S,Q side and it pick up channel...but when i go to view those channel more than half of the say searching for signal.any1 know what could be the porblem

FTA Keys

Fta keys are is a common term used to describe free to air satellite (FTA) decryption codes. Fta keys are the special decryption keys used to scramble a satellite television signal. The decryption keys are used to authorize viewing of the channel on that particular fta satellite receiver.

The fta keys are entered into your fta satellite receiver either manually, or automatically with a paid subscription. Manually entering fta keys is typically done on free to air satellite receivers that are illegally intercepting and viewing paid satellite television programming. Fta keys are entered into your fta satellite receiver’s memory via the on screen menus and built in navigation. can i leave on a sonicview sv 4000 FTA reciever all day? will it damage the box? Everytime i turn off the box, i need to upload the FTA file for the reciever. Is it okay just to leave it on all day or will it over heat or something...
